Gillian started her career in 1982 working in the learning disability care sector with Northumberland Social Services in domiciliary care as a Home Carer, Home Care Co-ordinator, Training Officer, and Deputy Manager. In 1997 Gillian moved into the private health and social care sector delivering and managing N.V.Q. and care related training. Gillian went on to manage a 50 bedded care home for a national provider being promoted to become the company's quality and training manager. Gillian brings a wealth of experience to this position, having managed local and national funded training programmes and working with awarding bodies to enhance workforce development and training.
During her career Gillian has developed her experience in a wide range of provisions, building an extensive development portfolio to include the following qualifications:

• N.V.Q. Level 3 and 4 in care
• Registered Managers Award (Adults)
• D32, D33, D34 Assessor and Internal Verifier
• V2 External Verifier
• C.M.S. and D.M.S. Business Management
• Nebosh Certificate Health and Safety
• Advanced Food Hygiene
• Certificate in Education and is completing Masters in Post Sixteen Education
