Christine has worked in social care for 10 years. She started work as a Care Assistant, supporting older people in a local Residential Home. Christine spent some years working as a Senior Carer in a Nursing Home where 50 people lived and during this time Christine gained her NVQ Level 3 in Care. Christine worked for 3 years as Assistant Home Manager and then Home Manager of a residential home, supporting younger adults with a learning disability. Whilst managing a team of support staff, Christine grew more interested in staff development, gained her NVQ Assessor Award and eventually left service provision altogether, moving into NVQ training full-time.
