Trainee Assessor/Tutor

Trainee salary: £16,000
Assessor/Tutor salary: £20,586 - £23,799 (on successful completion of trainee programme)
Job type: Temporary for six months with a permanent contract offer subject to satisfactory completion of training and probationary period.
 
An exciting opportunity is available for people who are occupationally competent senior carers with experience in a range of adult social care settings to train in the role of Health and social care Tutor/Assessor. The training programme will last for six months and includes the Assessment of Vocational Achievement (AVA) award and the Preparing to Teach in Lifelong Learning (Ptlls) qualification.
 
Knowledge Training and Experience
  • Trained and qualified to a minimum of L3 in Health and Social Care  
  • Minimum of Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy  
  • Occupationally competent in areas of delivery with a minimum of 5 years current sector experience.
  • Confident communication skills  
  • Competent in the application of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
 
Skills
  • Continually displays a confident approach, with positive interpersonal skills when communicating with others
  • Communicates using the appropriate method clearly and at a level appropriate to the understanding of the people concerned at all times
  • Proven track record demonstrating excellent planning and organisational skills
