ID is committed to promoting equality and diversity throughout the organisation.
Our vision is to promote opportunity for all learners, clients and staff as embodied in our mission statement and underpinned by a set of core values and behaviours, which drive and mould our activities.
This vision informs ID’s Equality and Diversity
Driving force…
Our Single Equality Scheme (SES) is informed by these commitments, and sets out our vision of how we plan to achieve equality within our individual equality schemes and in our Single Equality Action.
The Equality action plan for the Single Equality Scheme is focused upon three legislatively required equality areas of race, disability and gender, where we are able; activities will encompass all areas of equality and diversity.
As we work towards achieving our vision our Single Equality Scheme will incorporate the six strands of equality (including sexual orientation, age and faith) and ensure that our specific duties for race, gender and disability are not diminished.
We will always aim to take a multidisciplinary approach to our work on Equality and Diversity.
