Employability
ID offers employment qualifications which will give you the skills you need in the world of work. You will have the option of picking from the following vocational choices:
- Health and Social Care
- Event Volunteering
- Computer
- Business Administration
- Retail
You will attend ID Training at Westgate College for up to three days a week.
During this time you will also have the opportunity to improve your Maths, English and Computer skills by working towards qualifications in one or all three areas.
You will also study personal and social development which may include citizenship studies. All this you can add to your CV in our employment workshops throughout the year where you will look at CV building, interview skills and careers advice. All of our teaching teams will support you along your journey but you will also have your own personal tutor who will guide you through your time with us. If this is not enough, you may have the option of different kinds of work experience to make sure you feel confident in moving into employment.
At the end of your course we will work hard with you to make sure you are happy with your next steps. This may be you progressing with your work in signposting you to appropriate supported employment agencies so you can continuing developing your skills in work.
