Supported Living

What is supported living?

Supported Living is a service provided to help people to live the way they want to. We support people to achieve control and success in their lives, by increasing independence and making sure that the people who use our services know all of the choices that are available to them.

Who can have a supported living service and how does it work?

Anyone who lives in their own home or shared accommodation and needs support with everyday living can have a supported living service. We help each person that we support to develop their own Person Centred Plan which forms the support that they need. The kinds of things that people have in their plans include:-

  • Support in planning an active life with lots of social contacts

  • Advice and guidance in managing finances

  • Help to find employment or attend college

  • Managing your home and tenancy

  • Healthy Living

How to get a supported living service?

We support people whose service is paid for through direct payment or personal budgets, or have services provided through funding from the Local Authority. A member of the ID Support management team will be happy to advise you about how to look into funding for your support and can then plan with you the support that you require to meet your needs.

Who to contact?

You can contact our local office for advice about our service. Call us on 0191 230 3090 to speak to an advisor or email info@idlimited.co.uk.
