Matt's Story

Before going to Denmark we had to check of everyone was here first and to even make sure if they had come with everything they needed, Clothes, Shoes, Coats, wash supplies etc. then Jennie had checked to see if everyone had everything then we went in a taxi to Newcastle Airport off to Amsterdam first then to Denmark, when we got there we collected other suitcases and then got picked up to go to The Hostel where we were staying for two weeks.

Denmark was a great work experience for me I really enjoyed going to Copenhagen and the Production School Work Shop I was working with was a Musical Group at first I was a bit worried but then as always I just fit myself right in, I was doing the drumming for the group the songs that were being sung and instruments were playing to were September, You Know I’m No Good, A Thousand Miles and My Funny Valentine, the two songs I recommended were Thanks for the Memories by Fall out Boy and Basket Case by Green Day but they were too hard for the band to play on guitars and bass.

The Hostel we were staying in was nice apart from sometimes it could get abit noisy but it was a nice Hostel, I was sharing a room with Atiqur Rahman and Gareth Rudd and every time after finishing the Production School we got back and filled in a work diary about our day at the Workshop then we got fleshed up and then off for a nice fancy dinner somewhere in Copenhagen.

We all went to Tivoli Gardens on a Wednesday we all had great fun, I didn’t go on any if the high rides I have a fear of heights but Gareth Howie dared me to go on one so when I got off I regretted it “I am not going on that ride again” but the dodgem cars were fun and I bought two postcards to write and send out to my friends at carers back home at The Coquet Trust but then it got late we had a nice dinner then it was off back to The Hostel for an early night for another day.

The days after the Production School we went to Sweden for one day, when we got their we were all separated into one small group so really we could do what we wanted in that small group and then we made our own way back to Copenhagen and then back to The Hostel it was for the night.

We went shopping in Copenhagen, we bought some gifts for ourselves and some presents for the people we know back home, family’s friends and Neighbours, I got a few good DVD’s when I was shopping plus three amazing T-Shirts.
